dont be scared of techno heheheh :) but mind you theres so much more than (the obvious) rhythm & sound / basic channel / maurizio reference.. you should also look into the more abstract house producers like theo parrish, moodymann, andres and pepe bradock from france or german techno minimalists like ricardo villalobos, luciano, audio werner, isolee.

think this is a bit offtopic but yo we all knew 2562 was the man anyway

it's a 3 hour special, 40 mins of techno, 40 mins of early dubstep, rest mostly new deep stuff, but mixed up old and new still.

my personal techno favorites would include anthony 'shake' shakir, shed (soloaction), convextion and most of the delsin records recording artists as well. dimension 5, newworldaquarium/154, aardvarck, strand... too many to mention!
