if you are new to swans, I think that to be kind is slightly more accessible and forgiving than the seer; love them both nonetheless

Bogdan Raczynski - I will eat your children too B1

[+] Spoiler
First off there's a few drums to herd the sheep from the shieks,
- for a bit just some big jungley drums and sort of funky gabba stuff going down... which is the bit where all the ladies shut down their mental vaginas and get annoyed for a bit...waaaaay lad..
-but then those drums get sort of raped by the trademark Bogdan femelodies that take over and turn it into sort of uplifting k-pop + gabba until a second climax where Bogdan does a bit of akwardly sincere karaoke on top of that... ending it all off with a funky smaller little gabba break down..

The bit where it really becomes a track that I just want to bum is not just the melody and the rythm, more that it's so accesible despite how cheap some of the elements are + the overall attitude of wanting to make a combo like that.
8/10

Cymande - Dove

<iframe src="/forum/video.php?url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kzJ3aXSo48" frameborder="0" style="overflow:hidden; height:auto; max-width:540px"></iframe>

formed in london in 71 by some caribbean dudes, released 4 heavy lps of reggae tinged funk.
this cut's from their self-titled release, on different vibe than most of their work but definitely one of their more outstanding moments.

Soundcloud

new dj spinn remix of some random tune

the original tune is not good imo

this remix is very generic, played-out "teklife"

the sample is very uninteresting & it never goes anywhere, the synth that comes in the 2nd half is completely out of place

tune mightve been ok if instead of a random remix, the samples were just replaced w/ an interesting lead

a lot of hype on this for nothing, as much as i love spinn, not all his tunes are great, this is standard/expected footwork dickriding

2.5/10

Live, preferably. They make perfect sense live.
