How is that an argument against the person (soronery)?

its not about soronery, its about your comment about the guy being an immigrant. Where he is or isn't from has nothing to do with the point being made about extremism

Wasn't soronery implying that extremists also come from places where they're given "western" educations and NinjaEdit pointing out that this one wasn't actually raised in Australia? Seemed pretty fair.

some extremists come from poor and uneducated backgrounds whereas some come from well off and educated backgrounds

The way I read it was Soronery was making the point that extremism can be everywhere and ninja's point just seemed to be more an immigrant jab than anything else.
