DM was my first musical love and to this day they're my favourite band.
I own almost all of their albums in 5.1 DTS editions. I used some program to seperate every channel in every track and rendered it all to WAV. Used this as sampling material a few times :)

Oh yeah, I actually sampled an all black Pentacostal church sermon once, on one of my last tours. People were speaking in tongues, wearing shawls, and waving fans. Really scary shit, but amazing sound samples. This was in the deep south

I've sampled myself doing the dishes before. Or a shipping forecast. Those are just two of my faves :). I'm going to sample this polka band who were playing in a market that I managed to get on my phone.

My field recording folder is getting out of hand tbh. I sample way too much. There needs to be a way to record your whole day

when i went to paris i tried to sample my footsteps in the catacombs but this american woman behind me started coughing and ruined it lol

some vice documentaries have great nuggets to sample, including speech etc
