Crystal is awesome for free.

Another way you can make even better pads is by getting a couple of different synths (or as many as you want), putting some effects on them like filter, distortion etc, and controlling all of that with an x-y controller. Makes any two or more average sounds into a deeper and evolving sound....

pm me and i'll sort you out with some of the pads that i have laying around. just pop em into your wav sampler, add reverb, delay and oscillation and you're on your way.

LP, Reverb ? ???? Delay ?? what else is useful? i find phasers and flangers just kill the tones i like in the original sample
