don't see nz beating aussie twice. hopefully we can avoid them in the semis and either get lucky in the final or hope they get knocked out early.

but he was almost right!
imo kiwis won because of McCullum & Vittori
& we lost because of Maxwell & Cummins

I don't really empathize with this Oz team
Clarke, Maxwell & Warner in particularly are over-indulged yuppies
the rest might be toilers but they're overpaid for playing sport.
Haddin, Smith & a few of the bowlers are good blokes
but I dunno, I wouldn't enjoy their crowing about winning this thing.
On the other hand, Pakistan -the nation- needs a fillip
particularly those people who are beset by pleasure-hating religious fanatics.
Be good for them to have a victory, a head-lolling cheer & a bright spot in their fraught lives,
even if it was at our expense.
Mind, if we beat Pakistan, all the other teams are equally pampered
so we might as well go on & win.
