I always like the tune after I first finish it, otherwise I wouldn't consider it finished right? Then like 2 weeks later i'm like lol that is terrible.

I think when you listen back to tunes you've made after a while you begin to notice problems with it more than just after you've finished, like the bass is too quiet or the drums are too repetitive etc...

I sometimes get into the habit of re-listening to my own tunes over and over to try to catch a vibe off them. It's bad man, drives you down a dead end of creativity.

I dunno I feel like structure needs to be fucked with and that it's NEVER done

Bare in mind these weren't revolutionary, forward thinking tunes. They were literally sub standard 140 tunes with fucked up structures

yeah that's something i've been working on, i still wanna make tunes that defy conventional structure but i wasn't doing that well so now trying to learn normal structure so as to break it

so when you've learned the schooly ways - then you need to run back and find a kid and copy his bits

been making stuff for about 15 years and i like maybe 10/20 tunes out of prob about 500
