but, in this case, it would be considered child abuse if a parent showed their 13 year-old pornHarkat wrote:not literally everything that's good or important HAS to be taught in the school IMO
Is it more appropriate to show kids porn in a group/supervised educational setting?
basically agree with thishardhat wrote:As always school systems are one generation behind. People already have BEEN learning this shit, as in porn vs reality, without any help from schools. It would just make sex ed even more cringe than it already is
I'm for them discussing it in a frank way that takes into account that yeah, most of you little 14 year old dickheads are probably on pornhub daily, but I don't see the point of showing actual films in class
after all, has sex been so commodified that it's no longer instinctive?
I reckon, give 'em the basics early on...
explain the purpose of penis & vagina at 8,
some details of intercourse & pregnancy at 11
and answer the queries they probably won't ask at 13
(largely for the few shy little innocents & the lying braggarts who reckon they've done it all but don't know shit)
including a heads-up on stds, contraception, hygiene & the law
and leave it to kids to explore according to their ethics & predilections.
