this was quality, Shackelton utterly smashed it up, really rated Kansas City Prophets as well, thought he played an excellent set.

Point B was the highlight for me - well good. I was playing the same time as Shackleton so only caught the first 10 mins of his set but sounded heavy. Elemental was quality n'all.

Had a lot issues with the owners of the venue - they kept wanting to turn the system in the main room down even though it wasnt even that loud. :x

So that was it...it's a real pity cause I know a lot of the tunes that got played should've sounded better than they did.

We ended up leaving cause Shackleton's set was nearly devoid of any bass. :(

Sorry to hear that man. Was a proper downer. We wont be layin on any parties there again....the clowns that run that place only want our money and to have things their way.

We hired some decent rig into that place n'all :x

^^^

Yeah. it was a bit of a bummer - sorry to hear that it was out of your hands. Great line-up though - it's a pity the artists were not able to display their music in the best light.

Elemental's set was great. I love the way he uses breakbeats in his sound. It has a real element of funk which i think is being lost in some of the music being released atm.

Shackleton (predicatably!) sounded very interesting indeed...I'll have to wait til next time to hear him in full flight.

Anyway, best of luck with the next event. Hopefully things run a bit smoother for you. Keep us posted.

(BTW, were you the guy in the WESC shirt at the entrance by any chance?)

Loved it loved it loved it. Weird vibe from owners but nothing could beat those sets back, Shackleton and Elemental and Point B smashed it for me.

Had to leave earlier than I'd liked as I was having a bit too much aci.. er of a good time..

That was me in the WESC shirt.

Cheers to all those off this board for coming down, there were a few issues that came about and it pissed me off as much as it did for you. Namely the sound and security insisting upon punters using the cloakroom.

In a nutshell, we wont be using that venue for future parties.

All in all though, the music was excellent throughout and thanks to all that played.

See ya March 1st for the next Plex party.
