It wouldn't be the same if he didn't

Grime mcs dont really seem to like using dubstep tunes anymore anyway

I don't like MCs over the music 99% of the time. But thats just a personal choice, I understand everyone has different tastes.

One thing that would be helpfull tho is for flyers to be more specific on weither an MC/MCs are going to be on the night. Alot of them are, but I've turned up to quite a few nights where there has suddenly been an MC (for me) ruining the music. Atleast then I can choose not to go.

Same problem with the grime/grimey stuff in my opinion. I don't mind some of it, but personally I find it mind numbbing at nights. The amount of nights I've turned up to that say 'dubstep', and yet they play grimey stuff all night is starting to get annoying now. It'll be nice if they can clearly specify what kinda dubstep is gonna be played.

I'm not saying ban it, all music has it's place, just a bit of clarity of whats-what would be nice so we can be more selective.

co-sign. i mc in atlanta a lot and my new thing is that i do NOT want to mc if i am not on the flyer just because i hate it when someone shows up to a party and just gets on the mic.. in the same respect i do not like being on the mic for more than 1 verse if i am not "booked." it is good to show up to a party and get what you expect.

In terms of tunes im largely feeling them at the moment, got the bug killing it with flowdan, spaceape, warrior queen, that cotti and doctor bit, doogz doing his thing on a couple of beats etc. I think being completely opposed to any MC involvement in the scene is a bit short sighted; there is no doubt in my mind that MC's can and do add an extra element to the music and Im all about variety.

skepta is the best mc that i have heard over dubstep..
the N-type dubstep allstars set, with skepta over the top is sick..
infact that set has imo the three best mc's for dubstep.

I love the dmz sets off kiss with sgt pokes and crazy d. it accents the music without taking it over. imo it's a completely different approach from having a vocal dubstep tune ie splurt, the bug tunes/remixes, etc. (which are also great by the way).

I can't get enough of the bug ft. flowdan personally.
