So one Time I'm spinning at the Blue note London (now defunct) & i have all my records in a box balanced on the Decks flight case, which seemed to be o.k... Untill some bloke about 25 stone try's to squeeze past the flight case & knocks it for six...
My records spill out, right across a packed dancefloor & the arm of the turntable drags across the record (signal for the crowd to spin around) The whole case smashes onto floor..
the records spill all over the deck & I'm left standing with my cans on me head, a face of horror & about 20 mashed records being stepped on.
The crowd look at me Like WTF & fat bloke is totally oblivious to what he has done..
I was angry embarrased gutted & wanted the ground to open up & consume me....
I lost about £200 worth of classic funk vinyl.... :?
That was so painful to read

hahaha played at carling academy in bristol when the valve was down, not on the valve mind in a room near the doors to the main room on a system with the loudness the equivalent of ipod headphones, so everytime someone opened the doors to the main room i literally couldnt hear the record in my headphones to cue it ahahha! and the decks kept skipping and the needle was fucked so one deck would only play out of the left speaker! then mc bezzend and his gang of mates fucked on whatever, find a mic and start mcing double speed telling me to play some clipz!

phew!

what a load of bollocks!

doing set about 2 years ago in a medium capacity club, my alcoholic wastegash of an ex comes stumbling up to the booth. deep in a mix she decides to throw a novelty sized durex onto the deck [scratching needle sound] which then digs a nice big groove in my pete rock 12 and ruins the needle, set over :(

I was changing records once and pulled the record that was playing right off :(
I was well high when I did it aswell, not good.
The same night I elbowed the crossfader aswell, resulting in pure mess.

i played for 15 minutes at platform 1 & the entire affair was a shambles. i knocked the needle off the record at one point, but that was probably the highlight
