Whilst i wasn't there very long - man flu beating me up - One thing that really stood out, and tbh, always does, is the sheer quality and uniqueness of Mala's tunes. Very few come close imo.

Big up the Effra Gang, Standardly.

Many good things last night apart from seeing loads of old and new faces.

Antisocial - their set, their time.

Two tunes Mala played, the last one and one about five tunes before that. Dark, heavy, totally different.

Talking to solo Brighton soldier Misery near the end about how I had to get back to my temporary home in Orpington, and him pointing out Rod Azlan who was driving back to Kent. Hallelujah!

The lovely Rod Azlan and friends giving me a lift back to the end of my mum's road.

Catching a real-life glimpse of Corpsey, one of the first people who ever made me laugh on the forum with his autumn 2006 cakes in bakeways muddygraveways bars, at the bottom of the stairs as we left.

Not so hot:

Missing Blackdown's set. Next time...

it was even more so than the first time i met him, it was hilarious when he was on stairs, cos we was runnin up the spiral then saw him on staircase, so eveyrone went past and fived/hugged him and then came away like "woooooooah my hand" look on their face
