I love em but they're not for everyone - you gotta like big comfy ear-sofas. They sound nice but wouldn't be first choice if you're gonna use em for production as well.

If you can afford it, buy the HD-25s, although I personally don't like em because of the straight cord whic is easier to break, gets tangled up and you can wind up pulling the mixer off the table. Plus the cups don't swivel - not that comfy if you like to mix with one can held between your head and your shoulder.

i ordered the Harman Kardon K 26 p on thursday evening cause its the loudest and got the most bass... dunno if its good for mixing but i think its good for listening to dubstep when your neighbors are complaining again because of your bass

Sony 700s for me. Good headphones imo

sennheiser hd25 / hd25sp. cos they're light so they don't get annoying when you're wearing them for ages, good sound quality, replaceable parts. the folding away bit on the sonys always seem to break which is long.

My biggest complaint about the majority of sennheiser models are the cups - the padding is too small, and if you wear glasses whilst producing, the pressure of senns against the frames will be quite annoying after about hour 4. I stick with sony mdr's or technics cause they're comfy like pillows and still have enough mid/low for mixing next to a club monitor. fwiw, I only rely on cans for sketching sounds and arranging - if you have good monitors for mixdowns then it doesnt really matter how flat or unrealistic the response of your headphones are innit? just personal preference.

Easy... Sony 700's, or Sennheiser HD-25s for djing really, both alright to knock a qwik beat out in aswell.

I am not a dj so i don't know, but i was wondering, can't you use Headphones with Antinoise for mixing.
You don't have to crank up the volume and if you stand right next to the speakers you might hear the sound from the headphones better.

But again i don't know if this antinoise thing works by such a massive sound.

if you want really good ones, get the akg k240... 120 euro, but theyre reaally good

antinoise changes the sound being heard, not ideal for mixing and a huge no no for producing. could lead to some strange characteristics at extreme frequencies, poor stereo imaging and some weird phasing issues.

i'd steer clear, much better to get cans with good sound isolation as they don't affect the sound you're hearing.
