quote from wikipedia in the nottingham section-
Nottingham has a strong grass roots "Do it yourself" music culture, and is very in touch with underground trends in modern music. Nottingham is renowned as one of the biggest cities supporting the Dubstep movement of dance music. It also has a strong DIY Punk and Indie/Folk scene based at venues such as The Old Angel Inn, The Rose of England and Lee Rosys Tea in Hockley.

Futureproof was the explosive ball with a fuse in it
I was off my face for most of the time and missed a lot of stuff I shouldn't have but what I did see was sick. So busy in there, so glad a night of this quality is pulling in numbers now...
Bracky/Mart killed it at the start with the garage, Rob's tune sounded fucking great too. Geiom was great, the crowd were going mental lol Bass Clef was fantastic again, crowd jumping and so different from what you would see anyone else doing...
Martyn was immense again, the guy just plays what I want to hear to be honest. Gorgon Sound again, Touch again, Tea Leaf Dancer, Broken Heart RMX, loads of garage and the last tune- I need an id on it, think it was a house tune? Was great.
Big up all the FP crew and crowd, big up Nottingham of course and big up the artists, all of womb smashed tit.

notts is large definately, real nice community see so many ppl time and time again at the dance who i never link with, but always see having a good old skank. Just one thing that bugs me, promoters need to link more, then it would be rediculous, having to choose between shackleton live and afterdark aint fair!
all big cities are getting it locked down now. But i have to say for the sheer amount of nights a month with dubstep highly involved on the music nottingham has got so much to choose from.

Everyone's said what needed to be said about Futureproof, only problem with it was that the cashpoint on Alfreton was boarded up so I had to drink rough cheap cider all night. And yeah, this city's really great for certain things, despite many other things being completely ballsucking.
