ye der dnb levels are sky high, flawless productions. But they have been doing dnb for ages...
as producers GENERALLY der very good, so even tho this dubstep tune is low compared to their usual standards its a start....
..there is potential for dem to make sum really good dubstep as they make more and more of it.
so i think its a good tune cos its a start, another fresh outake on the scene. that and my memory of first hearin it was at dmz goin nuts, so ye.

Love this one from Chase + Status.
Their breakstep stuff is so heavy. Never leaves the box.

Thought that beat in the original post was a bit waste to be honest, sounds like a boring over dnb edged stepper produced by hundreds of producers right now.
But Top Shotta with Roll Deep is a fucking stormer as is Wise Up on Bingo. Years later these beats are still in regular rotation.

ah thankyou so much to darkside for IDing this. Been wondering what this tune is for months now, but Youngsta hides everything with his heathmann white labels- sly dog.
Think this tune is a lot. Really interesting to know its by Chase and Status! Along with Skream- Filth, this is the only tune that makes me feel physically sick hearing at the moment (in a good way) - pure bassface business. The way it builds gradually and the intro decieves you into a false sense of some airy blippy number before a beastly dark, rolling drop that just builds and builds with levels of progression and distortion. The rhythm is really interesting and varied as well- love the arrangement on the kicks. And the little vocal samples at the end of some 8s just make it badder. Seriously big tune, though that audio doesn't do it justice. Needs to be heard on a weighty system, preferably mixed deliciously by Youngsta
Any other Dubstep C+S bits about to be heard? Seen em a few times recently at subdub and ram- Realise that they are bringing quite a few tunes into their sets normally in a "dubstep interlude" fashion, though can't say i know anymore of their personal productions- though their DnB productions are on point and definite classics.

Some really nice stuff on this EP from 2004. More of a dark garage tip though, and I know how dubstep folks hate garage

The DNB they make is everything I hate about the genre these days. What next, Pendulum dubstep? I'm sure it's on the way
Their earlier garage/breakstep.breakbeat/whateveryouwant to call it was decent tho, I do admit.

pendulum make jump up, chase and status usually make liquid.
it mite be a bit formulated, but they it to a tee
you av to give em credit for their almost flawless productions.
