ive picked up loads of good stuff in seattle when ive been there

i dont order from forced exposure because they dont update their stock
been disappointed too many time

plus u order 5 records and then only one is in stock and u end up paying p&p on one record instead of spreading the cost

redeye is where i usually order from

The spot that closed down in March was mainly industrial, punk and metal, but they had a healthy section of electronic music. Just weird timing with Dj Hut pretty much burning down this fall, then reopening a few weeks after Strangeland closed.

DC actually has a lot of shops selling vinyl, so if anyone is ever in the area and needs a shop list, drop me a PM. I'm pretty sure Dj Hut is the only one selling dubstep, but there might be some stuff at the others, but none of those shops seem to cater to electronic releases, more towards bands or hip-hop/rap.

i buy from redeye. even buying from stores over here i usually end up paying the same if i had bought from redeye. this is because none of the labels (besides planet mu) have american distribution. it sort of bothers me how Argon, american based, doesnt even distribute to america.

maybe dubstep will take off here once we get some distro?

All STH labels (including Argon) are distributed in the US by Sector Media & Groove Distribution

If any US shop is having trouble getting stock, contact Rick (SM) or Dirk (GD).

convinced the owner to drop costs from $12.99 to $11.99, so hopefully that takes a little of the sting out of it..
