just give it a bit of time. i wasn't stoked over FL when i was ordered to get the last copy of 1983 by a militant mate of mine. but i love him for it now. was the same with dabrye. i find myself listening more and more to this stuff and less and less to DS....
check out beatnicks vol1 and 2

Lotus is a total badman. If you can, listen to his BTS radio mixes which have a ton of unreleased FLYamSAM (Flying Lotus and Samiyam) and Flying Lotus material which hasn't seen the light of day and quite accessible to the uninitiated - no offence intended!
As regards to his new album, 'Los Angeles', I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The faint line people like Lotus and Hudson Mo skirt, between Hip Hop and glitchy electronica, seems to demand a movement away from the Hip Hop sound which means I tend to switch off after a while. Saying that I do need to check it again...

Yeah, I have a whole load which I got from a P2P site, before everyone starts screwing, this is only the sort of thing I use these places for, people forget that even if you push up your own mixes with tracklist hundreds of people download them.
If you want 'extra' details PM me.
