Although on first searching it seems pricey to get out there, if you have a look around and are a bit flexible with tha dates, then you can get really cheap travel.

Eg travelling from Bristol to split, flying to italy then ferry across, flying to trieste then bus etc.

GENERAL INFO:

Some of the UK's best underground the clubnights including Subdub, New Bohemia, The Doctors Orders and Vagabondz have joined forces with Compost Records and the radio show Soulsearching to bring you an incredibly special weekend of music covering the best in reggae, hiphop, dubstep, broken beat, drum & bass and dance-floor soul music on a setting taken straight from paradise.

The festival site is in the gorgeous surroundings of Petrcane, close to Zadar, A fishing village on a peninsular where the Dalmation Coast meets The Adriatic Sea. For those in the know it will be recognised as the same sight that the Garden Festival is held. It has an outside Amphitheatre for live acts, a Beach Side Terrace for day & night time dancing and a 1000 capacity nightclub for the beats to go on right through the night.
At this beautiful site you can swim in the glistening Adriatic, dance on the beach under the stars, join us aboard the swashbuckling Argonaut Boat Party, get your groove on to a Funktion 1 Soundsystem in a retro Studio 54 styled nightclub or relax beneath the pines along the forested coastline.

You can come and stay for a week or just a long weekend, there's plenty to see and do and there will be entertainment and shenanigans provided for the duration. Musical entertainment will take place on a terraced bar on by the sea for day and night-time dancing, an outside amphitheatre overlooking the ocean for live acts, the nightclub and of course not forgetting the Boat Party.

The surrounding area is equally beautiful and there is loads to do such as island hopping, exploring the national parks and nearby mountains, enjoying the culinary delights of the local farming and fishing villages, relaxing on any of the various beaches or maybe you'll just wave the flag for brits abroad and get sun-burnt, obnoxiously drunk and locked up (Joke - please dont wave that flag).

for more info please visit the local tourist board - www.croatia.hr

TRANSPORT

Flights

Don’t be put off if the first flights you find seem expensive, there are cheap ways of getting there and back if you are prepared to do a bit of digging and can be flexible with when and where you travel to and from.

For Airports in Croatia you can fly into Zadar which is just 20 mins away from the site or alternatively the other airports are Zagreb & Split. If you fly into either of these we can happily arrange transfers for you.

Basically, ignore the price comparison websites – they’re shit and the prices will scare you. Check out all the budget airlines websites

www.croatiaairlines.com / www.ryanair.co.uk / www.wizzair.com
www.easyjet.co.uk / www.flybe.com / www.luthansa.com

If you are prepared to travel midweek-midweek, prices are much cheaper.

Also, if you are prepared to travel from airports a little bit further a field then you will really benefit from flights that are often Airport Tax only.
These are –
Rijeka (3 hours away),
Ljubljana (3.5 hours),
Pula (4 hours),
Trieste (4.5 hours)
Venice or Dubrovnik (6 hours)

The Party Bus - £TBC return.

I you want to save on your carbon footprint, and the indent on your wallet, we are also running a very reasonably priced bus to and from Croatia.
We’ve teamed up with Outgoing Travel (Snowbombing) to provide a Party Bus (or the Outlook Express if you have a penchant for dad jokes). The drive takes approximately 24 hours but we’ll be breaking it up with a 12 hour daytime stop in Munich for sausages and beer.

Having been on the Snowbombing party bus on a couple of occasions I can tell you that the time flies and it’s a really good way of meeting the other festival goers.

The Part Bus is only £TBC return and will be A lot of fun.

Contact Jack from Vagabondz if you’re interested.

ACCOM:

There is various accommodation that can be booked for your stay at an extremely fair price. There are hotel rooms that are available for as little as 10 Euros a night, as well as apartments and villas for different sized group bookings. There is also camping in the village for those who like to sleep under the stars.

for accommodation in Petrcane and any queries please contact Gail@thegardenzadar.com.

OTHER STUFF:

Boat Parties

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH

Long John Silver himself (captain Eddie) has been has been running boat parties for years across the globe and he has definitely perfected the art. Over the weekend the boat will set sail with its swashbuckling crew out into the open deep blue waters of the Adriatic sea to get those dancing sea-legs moving out into the sunset.

There's a Youtube clip of a similar party that was held by Chibuku in a previous year - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnVk2YMX7VY

BestJoinedUp

New Bohemia’s live illustration event that brings together some of the best graffiti artists, graphic designers and illustrators together for a live visual spectacular will also be in appearance at the event, bringing together some of the best illustrators we can find from across Europe.
