Burmas oil supplies are bought by China and India so they have no reason to do that unfortunately.

All I am saying is that the media likes concentrating their attention on natural disasters, eventho there are a lot worse things going on atm.

take the conflict in darfur for example: 0,5 million deaths estimated
that's even more than the whole tsunami thing, and that's in one country

ooooooooooh i see, well thats always the way really, for every thing they show on the news there is always something equally bad if not worse going on somewhere else that is brushed over...its pretty shit i agree but its the nature of the news that they can't be everywhere at once reporting on stuff, at the end of the day though they are always going to report what is going to get the most viewers and therefore highest ratings

Sorry but the conflict in darfur is self inflicted I mean, it takes someones finger to shoot a gun.

Some random fucked up thing from inside the earth happening and making BARE people lose their homes and loved ones is much more shocking and sad in my eyes. I mean sure theres innocent people in Darfur and thats also sad but you know.. they're both as sad as one another.

News is supposed to be coverd as it happens, is something happend yesterday and it didnt get covered because they did'nt fully cover the thing which happend the day before, we'd never catch up.

Its our job to use different media outlets to get the infomation we need/want. Its just the case that too many people rely on the one newspaper/TV channel.
