Aphex Twin - Flim
http://youtube.com/watch?v=RhHkUg-QCwk
Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life (Although if you get a hold of the album Chromophobiam there's a song Acrostico which is just as amazing, dunno if it's on the internet though)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFoJM2tTFlY
Pretty much anything by Mono, this is a good song but alas I can only find a live version.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZUf0nZ9IkQs
And of course the whole of the Sigur Ros back catalog
http://youtube.com/watch?v=go8Jc5Fx71I
You could generally just look into a load more post rock stuff, Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Explosions In The Sky. And oh yeah bare Bjork, always!
I'll try and think of some more stuff to up.

Erik Satie - Gymnopedie No. 1......
....Amazing. Always wondered what that tune was called. There's some brilliant stuff on that Helios album too. Nice one, Trap.

Hmmm, thought I might add to this.
Pepe Bradock - Deep Burnt
Deepest house tune ever made.
Micahel Galasso - Angkor Wat Finale
Makes me nearly cry everytime. If you've seen the film (IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE), you'll understand why.
Groove Armada - Edge Hill
Wait for the strings. Goosebump business.
Eluvium - Genius and the Thieves
Nice second breakdown on this one.
Dustin O'Halloran - Prelude 2
Sick Piano and Strings arrangement.
Philip Sheppard - Epiphany
This is his myspace so click on aforementioned song, totally incredible.
That's enough before it gets to maudlin!!

Ah, Eingya. I think it's probably my favourite album of all time. Equal balance of bliss and perfection - album cover's awesome, too.
Nice Ennio Morriconie track.
Cheeriest song ever made!

Checkout Vangelis, the finest film music composer ever.
Check out:
Vangelis - Bladerunner Blues
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IS5ps__SqQM
Vangelis - Rachel's Song
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=olGTTzfxNiw
These two tracks are quite simply amazing, just think they are nearly 30yrs old and they still hold amazing listening pleasure.
Also some of my faves are:
Michael Whalen - I Have Loved You For a Thousand Lifetimes
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_bLWTybNxCs
Brian Eno - Music For Airports
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=B9kPIp4MtX0
Wish I wrote those songs!
Digital Witchcraft - Brindavan
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oaMeADUpnKc
Digital Witchcraft - Fingerpaint
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=k8y5VWSl2os
These two songs got me in to Progressive Breaks, amazing. I done a remix of Fingerpaint a couple years ago if you wanna listen.

Also - anything off Selected Ambient Works 2. Even the darker stuff (PS - I know next to sweet fanny adams about classical music, so cheers for the info Corpsey, will do my best to track down and listen to).
Takagi Masakatsu - Journal For People
Just to say - this link is for the best tune off the above album. I first heard it at the beginning of 2006. I used it for a little film and, for some reason, ever since then, I have to stop myself from listening to it. Almost as if it's sacred; that to listen to it as-and-when is somehow disrespectful. I get the chills, the welling up, it's weird. There aren't many things that affect me like this, but this particular tune is one of the main ones. Strange what music can do to you eh?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuuezHW9 ... re=related
Kenji Kawai - Miscellaneous soundtracks for Oshii films.
If you've seen
Ghost In The Shell or
Innocence, you'll recognise his particular style: utterly haunting yet soothing and beautiful. Perhaps less well known is his work on the
Patlabor films. As with the Takagi Masakatsu track linked above, this particular link (below) is to a tune that i hold a special place for. It's from the film
Patlabor 2:

Bob Ohrum. Please, please check this guy out. Unbelievable that he's not signed:

Cheers for the heads up on Helios btw, really calming stuff.
@Wensley - wicked thread mate. (edit:

got a link to any of your stuff?
I always associate drone with all that Southern Lord stuff: Earth, Om, Sunn O))) etc. Actually, as far as beautiful music goes, I'd say the most recent Earth album is pretty apt:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcLic3qg-90
Sunn O))) could hardly be called 'beautiful', but there's a tune of theirs on the White Album called 'A Shaving Of The Horn That Speared You' that might qualify in some twisted way.
