That was quite easy to predict, but must admit Poland wasn't too bad, it's just that, I can't deny it, Germany was much better
Our defense didn't do a very good job, but I was surprised how much of an actual action Polish got - unfortunately with no final result, haha.
Also, did you guys notice, how Podolski didn't want to cheer against Poland? Much respect for that, can't be too easy, I suppose.

if the devil is six then god is seven
We were watching in a bar and people were cheering for france, although I guess that might have just been that bar. Glasgow for an England match probably was putting it strongly, though.
Also they had a DJ playing funk and dub loops in the background and running the commentary through the FX box if not much was going on.
Plus everyone shouts 'Italiano!' when they think someone's dived.
It was jokes.

reppin the family roots all the way....
i'm worried that koller - the giant, the legend - is looking very old and slow though. we're not the flair side of 2004 anymore, without rosicky, nedved, poborsky, etc. someone argue me out of this pessimism!

a bit offtopic but is there anything good in the standard polish selection u get in shops these days, or do you need to go somewhere like a deli with a wider selection...any recommendations? it's all in polish usually without a guide to what's what.Baron_von_Carlton wrote:Yeah that's gonna be a big match.ch3 wrote:I'm Polish, so it's kinda obviousBaron_von_Carlton wrote:Who you repping?????
Im half Polish so i shall be representing Polska.
First one on Sunday, I love it when we have matches with Germany, haha!
Got some Kabanos and a bottle of Siwucha to drink during that one. Though i don't speak Polish i fully endorse the culture of good food and drink.![]()
there is one exception to this rule - and, appropriately, it's a czech liquor, kind of cinnamon-y (apple and cinnamon anyone?!).. the only problem is i've forgotten its name. it comes in a blue and yellow bottle, and it's strong stuff. anyone help me out?spooKs wrote:ahaha sound, i always think apple juice is a terrible mixer tho, i love it to drink, all day, but not with alcohol
back on topic, if we (cz) can beat portugal on sunday i will be over the fricking moon. tonight's game looks damn tasty for the neutral i must say.

backing austria obviously.. harsh result yesterday.. the croatians were unbelievably weak.. can't really see them beating poland let alone germany with a performance like that.. hope the austrians get a better result against poland.. and then we'll take on zee germans.
I'm also supporting France since my mum is french.. come's in quite handy I must say.. always have 2 sides to support..

Some of the stuff in the supermarkets is alright but your better off going down your local market and getting the real deal.spooKs wrote:a bit offtopic but is there anything good in the standard polish selection u get in shops these days, or do you need to go somewhere like a deli with a wider selection...any recommendations? it's all in polish usually without a guide to what's what.Baron_von_Carlton wrote:Yeah that's gonna be a big match.ch3 wrote:I'm Polish, so it's kinda obviousBaron_von_Carlton wrote:Who you repping?????

Anything pig based is good especially the really gnarly looking dry Kabanos. The black pudding is also damn good if you like that kind of thing.
If you like Ravioli i suggest getting some Pierogi down you, like Ravioli but ten times better. Not tryed the shop bought ones but apparently they are fine.
