Dub, dub, dub, with over 30 years of back catalogue to choose from.
Musical influences include hardcore hip-hop, jungle, noise (Jesus Lizard type), anarcho punk (Crass, Conflict), straight avantgarde like Laibach, industrial shit like Godflesh, Einsturzende, grindcore like Napalm Death or Sore Throat, Patareni; thrash metal, krautrock, postrock like Tortoise or Ui...ah tha list just goes on & on...

All of the above I guess...
Gotta keep an open mind, otherwise I would have never found these tasty dubstep beats i've been vibing on for a while now...
A tunes a tune really... If it sounds good to my ears, puts a smile on my face, or just gives me some kinda feeling that good music does, i'll listen to it

I think that the poll options are just too limited.
There's just loads of stuff which isn't even provided as poll options.

Its all a big blur for me, just tryin to enjoy music!

Pre-80's rock, Hip hop, Danceshall, Breakcore, Breakstep, Dubstep, House, UKG, "Urbance", Skweee, And any good UK music. I think that Dubstep comes from many places and I can't put my finger on it. Keep it moving.

hip-hop, metal, drum n bass/jungle, hardcore punk, rock, uk hip-hop, grime, breaks, reggae... the list is endless, bit of a shit poll to be honest mate.
i think alot of people on here have a diverse musical background like me, i couldnt really narrow it down to just one.
Dubstep is what i mix/make, but i still listen to everything else...

Jungle, house, swing (swv etc), hip hop then onto garage in about 97 -> 2002ish then started liking the darker sounds from people like darqwan and big apple records, then into grime and dubstep, always liked a bit of soul and motown as well though and been in and out of dnb

hip hop. i grew up in the bay area during the 90s, so it was the music i was into.
shoegaze. my bloody valentine are a huge influence on me musically.
the indie bands of the 80s. sonic youth being another influence.
the new sound of electro (whatever you choose to call that genre). it was what i was busy spinning throughout 2007, but i got bored with four to the floor beats, and that drove me to dubstep.
