Ya just barely beat me.

I think when you do a rmx like this you should keep it quite. You put shit on myspaz, who knows who is going to see it. In this case the the people that wrote it! I doubt they are going around looking for bootlegs of thier stuff but if it lands in their lap, they are going to say something.

I thought the rmx was aight but I dropped it in a set a couple weeks ago and the freq's sounded a bit harsh. I had to mix out of it quick like. Not hating, just sayin'.

To be totally honest i can see why they said that... to do it a tune of this magnitude justice, a remix has to be pretty fuckin tight and to be honest i think this tune falls short of doing the OG justice.

The mixdown needs work, the snare is lost way back in there, and its just a bit thin all round.

This is just my constructive opinion, nothing personal :)

Pretty fuckin wack... I dont see any harm in making a tune as a compliment to a group that you like...

They did aswell ! i BET they didn't clear the samples of that tune, it was like a metalica tune i think?

I hope you wrote something suitably harsh back to concord dawn mate.

Sooo, i'm gonna go find another one of their tunes to remix now...then send it to em.... in a bit guys !....

Not too surprised by the reaction either TBH, Personally I don't rate 'Tha Dawn' too highly, but I know that their management has a lot tied up on their sales figures....
Considering Morning Light is one of THOSE tunes (every dnb head got it, thrashed it, bored us stupid with it...) its pretty much a cert that you'd get a shitty reaction.
Not only that, but if the DnB scene over here faces being eclipsed, its by dubstep, meaning there is a certain amount of grudge holding goin on.
Evan played the guitar on 'Raining Blood' ,he is quite the bogan(kiwi slang for metaller) and fairly unashamed of it, bless him. It naggingly familiar because its an ersatz thrash metal guitar riff, anyone with a few tab books worth of experience could nut it out if they wanted.
Ah well, live and learn, eh?

when we want a dubstep remix we will pay someone to do a proper one

This killed it.....

They could of said it in a nicer way, like "Its nice that you remixed our tune but we'd rather if you took it off"

Ah well, tunes big anyways.[/code]

i haven't been around here much and this is the first thing i see when i come back

i can understand them being mad.. but it's not like you could really get away with doing anything more tahn a bootleg whitelabel... and those never make money.. they're just to get out there
true but i dont understand why they would need to get mad. i was giving away free 320's. i made no money whatsoever and didnt intend to. i would 100% understand if i was selling the mp3 or had it out on vinyl but whatever, its over now, and ive lost my respect for them....
you should still send it to me

i wanna listen to it

and maybe play it

cuz i like to piss off the 'establishment' lol

if i was you, i'd do another remix of it just to piss them off.

no way are they going to get all legal about it and take you to court. might as well take the piss out of them some more. set up a fake myspace and put your remix on there, then link them to it. do like a country and western remix or something really shabby...
