havnt heard it on any proper system really. but after re-listening to it a few times on various headphones i can understand the appeal. id like to hear it in a club.ajantis_art wrote:wow, honestly never thought i'd hear that. seriously? just out of curiosity, have you ever heard it loud with proper weight? do that mate, you'll love itSpire wrote:to be completely honest ive never cared for anti war dub......
i fail to see how these contradictory reasons can be grouped together.wobbleman wrote:the reason is because:
3. obviously the record is deleted, and although potentially it could be re-pressed at any time and sell another 2000 - 8000 records very fast, mala has explained in interviews that he is not bothered about re-pressing them to make an extra bit of money, he prefers to keep them rare for various reasons. think its something to do with his up bringing and his relationship with vinyl, vinyl shops and searching out rare tunes etc. basically he loves vinyl and he also loves everything that comes with vinyl like going to record shops, speakin to the guys in the shop and searchin for rare deleted tunes. he thinks he would be "selling out" if they re-pressed it

I've got it, I like it, but I don't like it half as much as most of the people on this forum seem to. I heard it at the birthday bash and didn't go nuts.Djslate wrote:SNAP!!!Spire wrote:to be completely honest ive never cared for anti war dub...... haunted is great though.

I'd sell it mate as you could buy at least 4, maybe 6 or 7 of those tunes for what you'll get.tercerojista wrote:I've got it, I like it, but I don't like it half as much as most of the people on this forum seem to. If AWD really is that valuable, though, I'll gladly consider swapping it for any of El-B's old stuff, or one of those tunes that Oneman was dropping at the last DMZ
lol. no shit!TeReKeTe wrote:it wasn't rare in 2006.
think you're onto something man.Be-1ne wrote:Im guessing its rare because all the copies got sold?
i think you missed the point Haridas, its not about money or 'the scene', why linger on an old tune, when you could concentrate on new tunes and other labels? Thats how progress is made in any field, by looking forward not backward.Haridas wrote:i fail to see how these contradictory reasons can be grouped together.wobbleman wrote:the reason is because:

surely the soul reason behind pressing the tune in the first place was to
spread the message of the music, and in doing so making a little money.
by not repressing it, it is both slowing down the spread of the message
and creating more hype for making money on available copies
