Nah, sorry guys. You can't rip into Ashton Court and
big up Unity in the same breath! I bit my tongue for
the weeks of hype, and note how I'm not slagging
Unity off on a Bristol board. Last year did suck.....

Well, you've got me there! But I wasn't the only
person by far. Just the only one irritated enough
to go out on a limb and slag it off - all be it a year
later!! I spoke to several people on the night who
agreed, people who went on to big it up. Politics :D

If you didn't like it then, why not voice your concerns and perhaps provide some points for thought about how the organizers could improve the event for this year. That could have been helpful.

I probably did offer constructive criticism at the
time, can't remember to be honest. If I didn't it
was only 'cos it primarily seemed like a breaks
night last year, not my scene so didn't feel the
need to comment - I was only there to show
Dub Boy support for his early set upstairs....
Good to see a better line-up this year, hope
y'all have a decent night. And sorry to knock
it, not that it'll make any difference given the
Amazing amount of hype it's been getting )

Not to press this as it's really not a huge issue (just one of my slight pet peeves) - but there's a difference between saying the night sucked and "not my thing" - the former indicates that the actual night was bad, while the latter indicates that you personally just didn't happen to dig the night. One can hopefully be fixed, while other - perhaps not so much. If it wasn't your thing than fair enough :)

I'm not involved with Unity - just went last year to have fun, and well - this year I'm on the wrong continent - so that's not happening :(

In a lot of ways, Unity reminds me of NC Strength - minus the beach and plus a huge sweaty club and a few more genres of music (Strength is all DnB) - I really REALLY like the vibe of both :)
