personally I'd class this as Dubstep - but thats debatable
freq nasty on the buttons and I thought 'ez!! bit of DS' when i first heard it
hey whineo

yeah i guess yr right.

when i first heard the track i thought - hey here some vocal dubstep goodness - but then when i tried to mix it in its like 10bpm slower or something!! but you can make it work.

and yeah i know freqnasty has been in that zone sonically for over a decade but i would hesitate to class him as a dubstep producer - i mean i would LOVE IT if he made some dubstep - but i think he is still on that breaks/dubstep fringe....

anyway. Yeah, its definitely a debatable one - which i guess i spend about half my life looking for! :)

stuff on the edges of the genres is always the most interesting to me

Wasteland (DJ Scud + I-Sound)... essentially proto dubstep but I doubt many know about this act.

I love mixing booty bass / juke with dubstep.. for the latter DJ Slugo has some awesome tracks: http://myspace.com/djslugo

i used to buy techno records, and a lot of my drum track tunes fit in real nice. i have a bunch of old 4x4 (the label) that works really well, and even some oliver lieb/lsg. it's still really good music and adds a pretty good dynamic to a dubstep mix :D

Proper bassy tune
I've just started getting into The Cool Kids, some really good stuff. Is that tune around 140 bpm?

I'm not dropping any names but there are a handful of Björk tunes that go really well with the dub and the steps
