SE1 has one of the most severe security measures I've seen around London.MikeE wrote:How are those security Measures? No caps, hoods or trainers
And definitely no groups of guys to be admitted especially if they didn’t fit our criteria for the night and even if they had purchased a ticket prior to the event!
Obiouvsly been pass through metal detector, been searched and been strictly surrounded by bouncers at all the time is not the best someone could expect from an "entertaining" event.
The statement you is absolutely ridiculous: someone who purchased a ticket in advance cannot be refused the entrance if he/she meets all legal requirements.
Is a silly and discriminatory policy because the ticket is a "contract" and being refused admittance for the only reason to be me and a group of mates is simply unreasonable (and promoters liable to be taken to court for that)
Moving back to SE1: I've organized parties in London and although those news are sad and scary the first thought I had is: "if a place cannot guarantee minimum safety standard for staff and customers and is forced to use such measures it probably means that is time for police to shut it down."
As a promoter I can only say that a city like London requires a careful choice of the venue because vibes and atmosphere are heavily damaged by such strict policies so where there's no chance, i personally prefer to organize the party somewhere else.
