true.. but still. where is the DUBSTEP???
wheres the space, where's the originality, the mood, the music... i like banger tunes, i like some rusko bits, also i LOVE kromestar especially for the "simplicity" of his tunes. but this slowed-down-DnB-stuff is just sooo formulaic. it's dancefloor tools with no soul to it. fuck this kind of music.
also, anyone noticing how the drums rip off the "night" beat? (listen to the cowbells)

Yeah, if it was made by a new producer it'd get a thread in dubs with about four people saying "yeah decent sounds, any chance of a 320?"

On the other hand, if it was made by a new producer it wouldn't get a major label release (like actually major label, not just 'well known dubstep label'), have literally thousands of Pendulum fanboys fawning over it, possibly represent a lot of people's first experience of dubstep and so on.

No longer talking specifically about Pendulum, but your response to a new producer who (as far as you know) has only just learnt which end of a synth is and really wants to make dubstep but hasn't developed an individual style yet is going to be a bit more polite and encouraging than your response to a producer with evident technical skill who seems to have bashed out something well polished but fairly derivative in a popular style where you kind of suspect they've thought "yeah, dark sounds, snare on three, wobble bass, I reckon I can do that..."

not bad, I'd rave to it on the dancefloor. Might get a bit bored of it after a few listens though. Not a bad attempt though eh?

For some reason I don't like anything I've heard by them except Tarantula, which I rate as a moment of gonzoid pop genius to compare with Dancing Queen or Jumping Jack Flash...

I like alot of thier old stuff, but they are overrated man.
there are so many artists who deserve the recognition they get.

But in some ways im glad they dont get that recognition commercially because i want dnb to stay as underground as possible.

jeezus christ people.... sorry, just looking for my yawn emoticon.... :H: .... here it is

i guess being who they are, and the level of exposure they have, leaves them open to a lot of criticism. but really.... stop wasting your time worrying about what they are doing. at least a wider audience are getting exposure to a different genre of music and hopefully producers out there that have put in years of hard work (like pendulum) might start making a bit more cash from the exposure

just get over it kids, if you don't like it, ignore it, don't buy it. and if you're worried about dubstep getting to "commercial" and "overdone" then piss off and find something else to listen to, i hear microfidgetminimaltechhouse is pretty underground these days

I don't know d-vo, i'm not [well i guess i am] been elitist but have you seen the sort of people that go to their gigs and what goes down there? i went to see them at leeds fest this year [went to see RATM :D ] and it was fucking horrible, The mc was actualy telling people to start pits, at a 'drum and bass' gig. i just cba with people who would be willing to do that when i go out for a dance tbh. I have nothing against people getting in to new music, the amount of people i've draged along to events but some people attract dickheads and judging by what i saw at leeds fest [ and the year before when i went to see them before they started releasing shit] pendulum do that with flying colours.

fair point in regards to the crowds. same as when they come back this way. same ugly rock bogan crowds. but thats their roots i guess. honestly don't think their dubstep excursions will appeal to meth'd up d&b bogans though

d-vo think you missed joe muggs joke. He's takin the piss when he said pendulum are worst than hitler, hence the eye's rolling sarcastic smiley

dont mind the tune either i wouldnt buy it, but i've heard worst from some of the "supposed" big names of dubstep.

Best thing to do if you really dont like something ignore it, dont dance leave the dancefloor, big up something you do like focus on that instead.

Yer need some audio for this.

Have to agree with the majority of people here just ignore them. When there utterly rubbish samey tunes that get played on radio 1 every ten minuets come on just put a bit of classic fm and appreciated some decent music. I would prefer to skank to that rather than listening to tracks that all sound the same and ultimately shit.

And yes there are worse things being released in dubstep but they have all the money they need, probably a massive studio, imo some decent dnb tracks a massive profile and they still produce utter garbage and by the sounds of it use the same sounds in all there new songs.

I read somewhere that they get £3,000 for every dj set they do and £9,000 everytime they play live. Can anyone back this up with some fact
s?

Im starting to see chase and status turning into the new pendulum though.

Lets not make this into a 20 page.

Pendulum should not be making dubstep end of.
