"duppy man" was a heeeeavy tune. they've been about for ages though, i think their first release was on so bingo so they've been around the ammunition lot/dubstep for some time. the flip with roll deep was a wicked tune aswell, and that release was back in 2004/5

They wear boat shoes, so they're alright in my book.

Duppy Man was the first tune I ever heard in a club in the UK. Heard it when I walked into The End during a Renegade Harware night in 2005, was on dubplate at time. Will always be a bit special to me, no shame!
Big up Chase & Status.

i havent heard the tune, but from the quote i gotta assume its actually not from a clash, but from the "UK Bubblers" live saxon album put out by greensleeves in 86 i believe, cant find the record right this sec.....
been sampled countless times in jungle... def a sick piece of vinyl...
and chase & status have been making breaks for years, and flexing sick basslines, so dubstep is nothin new really for them... i personally dig their production alot, doesnt get much cleaner (while staying dirty) than chase & status...

but they're not originally from dnb
do a search for the tune "wise up" on bingo beats for example.
