I just don't understand why people have such a problem with it. If they weren't constantly passing shitty laws about gay marriage then they probably wouldn't even notice.

as an american, i cannot understand how this law is not anti-gay.

it would be like saying: Black people should be free...but i support slavery.

and in case people were not aware, this law affects straight people as well. If you have a child with someone & have lived with them, supporting yourselves & each other for years...you have no rights to each other. In other words if your baby's momma goes to the hospital, you do not have the right to see her or even find out if she is alive. seriously.

Good to hear about decriminalization in Mass, but if some other people feel thats wrong they will just pass a higher law stating something different. Our system needs to be changed. Homosexuals should fucking riot. I'm hopeful about a president that isnt an old white guy for ONCE...EVER...but its all the same government.

It doesnt say that gay people cant be together or shack up, or even raise children. It protects the God given right for a man and a woman to marry and have children. A sacred thing that we have had since religion. Dont gay THAT up IMO.

and if gay people "shack up" and have children, they have no rights to keep property if one person dies, or rights as far as childcare arrangement goes should they separate. or any of the legal rights that you enjoy just because you happen to couple with someone of the opposite sex.

Point of order, I disagree that the rights were granted. We are BORN with rights, endowed by our creator(at least in this Country). That means you were born with rights. If they are granted, they can be ungranted by law. If you are born with rights, they are yours to give or take away, not the State.

That said, everyone is born with inherent rights, among them being life, liberty, happiness.

Liberty and Happiness means to be able to join in any kind of binding contract you want with another person, regardless of any protected status. Gay being protected, it cannot be taken away without DUE PROCESS. Or as we like to call it, Habeas Corpus. Present a legal complaint in court saying that YOUR rights as a Straight Person are being violated by Gay marriage and Gay marriage should be banned. If you can't prove that harm is done, then Gay marriage is legal.

This isn't hard to understand. If someone is hurt by it = illegal. Not hurt = legal.

Gay Marriage, Constitutionally protected.

You act as though having 2 heterosexual parents has something to do with being gay or straight. I know for a fact that Lisa wasn't conceived through some immaculate conception. She had a male and female who fucked at some point, thus she exists.

Assume for a second that a gay couple cannot adopt children... who will adopt them? There are millions of orphaned children around the world, and believe it or not, I know someone with 2 Mothers and a gay father as a sperm donor. She has 2 kids and is a lawyer, married to a man who is a doctor.

In her case, having 2(3?) gay parents didn't make her gay, anymore than Lisa's straight parents made her straight. Your logic is flawed. Even though I'm 100% opposed to what you are saying, I'd never try and take your PROTECTED right to say it. Likewise, I expect you to look the other fucking way and ignore gay couples, because the hate you spew is contagious, and I'm already starting to catch it... I hate you.

I think some people have this image in their head that if someones gay then they're gunna come and want to give em one...When straight men are probably more likely to be more 'upfront' to women haha..
