Go WAV, no crackles, no pops, no cleaning, just pure sound from one computer to another. If you want some crackles and pops you have some free plugins that emulate them.

the grimier the better.
anyone have the new Madlib, King of the Wigflip?
He uses vinyl crackles like ambiance.
I also enjoy the sound of manipulated crackles & static over a nice downbeat.
I have two copies of some vinyl, one clean & immaculate, one scratchy as hell & left in my back seat in the summertime. Put these on two tables & you have instant fucking grime.
