You know what dude, whoever shouted out when he done a wheel up is a gee, fuck this crap, all their tunes sound the same, rubbish grooves, and their titles to thier tunes just says it all, its like they are taking the piss outta da scence, and from what im hearing, my students are telling me these guys are making big bucks in the game.at least skream and benga make well made wobbles with some sorta groove, caspa and rusko just wanna play the loudest tune.

as far as im concerned, they are the most annoying duo/artists in the scene.period, if i c them on a flyer i get scared.

i got to admit though, theres no point going to an event if you dont like theyre style, they are sort of pioneers in the scene.

I personally cant stand that jump up shizz, but each to their own

I can say what i want, when i want b, i am a passionate fan of dubstep and i know how this scene started and im not even british although i have lived hear almost 10 years.I work @ a collage in london and i hear students talk about how great caspa and rusko's music is EVERYDAY B, and when i hear good quality music from producers like quest, silkie, heny g,martyn, hessle audio, it angers me that good quality music like this doesnt get the recognition they deserve, when i hear a ase track(could be ANY 1 ov them)i can tell these guys make their tunes from the bottem end of their heart, but i dunno man, this jump up shit just doesnt cut it for me, and the scene did not start like that, even the titles of the tracks just makes me realise that they cant take the music they make serious, not saying u cant do what u want with the music, but i know certian passionate heart felt people will c this and agree wid me in sum sorta way.

Good luck to em, but as far as im concerned, this is the reasons why people wont take dubstep serious for now.

And yeah, its MY OPINION, and I BELEIVE IN IT!

LOL. allow it.

how can a few selected artists determine how an entire GENRE is percieved. thats just nonsense, and people being introduced to the sound who think caspa and rusko are the be all and end all of dubstep are just narrow minded if they dont open there ears to more of the sound.

im gonna swerve on an opinion, but this is EXACTLY what happens with most forms of music. Most people don't dig for their music, and when they hear something and get told that is a particular thing, they naturally assume that other things within that thing sound the same. Ive even been halfway into a set and had someone comlpetely innocently ask me if i was going to play any Dubstep (meaning caspa/rusko). They honestly thought that what i was playing was a different genre, which is sort of understandable as it sounds quite different.

Whats with the Aggyness???

I said its about Opinions?? I didn't say You're opinion doesn't count??

Everyone on this forum's opinions count, thats why its here??

Instead of trying to gun someone down that has put up a valid post, why dont you go around your collage giving out mix cd's of "Quality" Dubstep Music???

Then you can be single handedly responsible for making people take dubstep seriously!!! lol

Why doesn't everyone just try and push the scene as a whole, not just what they are feeling???

* Rant over *

Theo is massive. Complete antithesis of most of caspa's stuff, apart from moments in love, dirt road, marbles etc.

I like a bit of mid-range wobble from caspa, rusko, the others etc. I love Africa for example, and LFO King (tried to sign it). But I don't like hearing that style ALL NIGHT. To the exclusion of all other forms of dubstep.

And I particularly don't like it when people who've been into dubstep for six months want that, and only that, and think that anything else isn't "dubstep". Which is happening all the time.

Their sets can be unvaried, I would like them to make more stuff like Cockney Violin.

They also can attract dickheads into the crowd (esp if a dnb night is in the same venue).

But they make sick tunes, to start giving them shit for those tunes is a bit ridiculous. It is their sound.

Yeah, seriously. Or people who aren't bothering to check dubstep because all they've heard is wobblestep stuff and they're assuming that that's what it all is.

I've known quite a lot of intelligent, musically aware people, who "don't like dubstep" who I've given links to, I dunno, Hessle Audio stuff or Mala or whatever and had them say "yeah, it's really good, but this isn't dubstep is it?"

nb this isn't really Caspa and Rusko's fault tbh, kind of OT really.

true, i see your point.

dubstep is such a diverse genre, so its understandable that someone who aint really into it would think the lighter stuff is a complete different genre to the wobbley stuff.

but if sumone is proper listenin out to the wobbley side and knows tunes etc, then they have it within their attention to look into other tunes of dubstep...

whether they like em of not is another story, but the point is they SHOULD know dubstep is more than just caspa n rusko and the jump up stuff. if they dnt then their just narrow minded.

anyways fuck all this talk about the different styles and the differences...

its all dubstep, its all one sound, its all music; we play it all together. fuck anyone who thinks otherwise.

just thought his set was over all too loud.
the system at pp doesn't need to go anywhere near high vol, and you'll still feel it in your chest.
and whoever shouted out in his set, bet they're jonny big bollocks in a crouded dark room but pussyhole on road...

oh, like 'some' of caspas tunes but a whole set is too much

The Clairvoyants are a group of 3 producers who make minimal, tech and house. They have a show on rinse every sat night/sun morn 1am-3am and wednesdays 3pm-5pm.

Jason H/Calenda, DJ Shax and SBR are the clairvoyants.

They make deep music which I'm sure you lot would be feeling. They are playing FWD this month I believe. Catch me in attendance for sure.

Here is their Myspace if you'd like to listen to some music just follow the links:

I'm pretty sure Dubstep is taken extremely seriously.

Aside from that, shouldn't music be enjoyable? Different types of music emit different emotions from your person, there's nothing wrong with a bit of fun or cheekiness and thats exactly what caspa and rusko bring to the table.

Diversity is the spice of life. The fact Caspa and Rusko can perform under the same umbrella as artists like Mala, Burial, Joker and 2562 is one of the reasons so many people like "dubstep".

I'm not saying everyone should like every kind of artist making dubstep, whether its deep or wobbly or whatever. I'm just trying to point out that people are stating some pretty extreme opinions in this topic - there are no governors in our scene, just live and let die.

I'm sure there are thousands of people who enjoy caspa and rusko the same way people enjoy anti social. Just let everyone do their thing, if it's not to your taste, you're welcome to your opinions. But nobody has the authority to say what should and shouldn't be allowed in dubstep or at FWD for that matter.

I'am one of them 8)
It's always will be like that: haters and bullshit forum talkings about "this is true" and "this is not true" it's normal part of every style of music.
But the fact is Caspa right now is one of the biggiest artist on the scene and imho he always will be on top 8)
