...... innit.
Good night though, shame no zomby set, he would have been the first Leicester local to bless fwd..... maybe next time ..... ?

Best turnout I've seen in ages, absolutely rammed. Some properly mashed people in there too. All sets were top notch, what was D1's intro tune?

This guy came up to me and Ben UFO afterwards when we were talking about Zomby not showing up and told us he WAS Zomby and he didn't play because of nerves or something. I would have thought he was taking the piss but he didn't look like he was lol So maybe he was there?
Had a good time, got pretty drunk and lean which eased the transition lol big up Tron for sorting me a zoot + There were so many people there last night, so out to everyone I saw.
Agreed on the sound - when Brackles was on it was perfect and then it seemed by the time Kode was on it was too heavy on the mids. I stood in front of the left rear speaker for about two seconds and almost went deaf.
Musically it was clearly a bit polarising- one person I spoke to said it was the best FWD, another person said it was the worst hahaha But I enjoyed it all, really. Brackles smacked it - mixing was so on point and selection was typically great (what is that 'Underground' garage tune with the warpy bassline? Ruff). D1 I saw the first bit of mainly, really enjoyed hearing that Ramadanman RMX and also Oingy Boingy later on.
Kode was heavy, lots of pounding funky and later on some mad dubstep/'wonky' stuff. Tune of the night for me was definitely 'Digidesign', and also that Skepta tune he played almost last with the 'Serious' sample in it. Also that tune that backed up the Christmas Message sounded great. I was shaking my head a few times haha

lol, I'd grabbed my coat from the cloakroom during the penultimate track and walked back in past that speaker during a quiet part (with earplugs still in) and nearly jumped out of my skin when it kicked back in!

Do you know what. I saw a guy walking round clutching a record bag when Brackles was playing who looked well nervous/sketchy. I actually thought maybe that's Zomby and then thought nothing more of it. Looked pretty 'normal', wasn't that tall. Dunno could've been him innit.

That's probably the best story I've heard involving zombies and dubstep since dubluke's apocalypse survival plan epic.
Sounds like a ridiculous night. Damn you Londoners.

When you say funky what kind of music are we talking about here?
Not being funny but if I went to FWD and I started hearing some funky house I'd be pissed. I know KODE9 is deep and shit but it seems like he's trying to be "diverse" for the sake of it. Though I didn't hear the set so I don't know... seems to be a mixed reception going by this thread.
