i love how people consider the bangers and shit to be "lowest common denominator"

i can list you 1000 shittier, lowest-common-denominator tunes that are released on worthless start up labels than the shit rusko and caspa pump out

most of you are hypocrites who think they own this music, you people are losers...get a life and start making your own shit if all you're going to do is complain about what others do

exactly

also, to take rusko as an example, many of his tunes are quite unusual and use an individual set of sounds

yeah, he's not doing as much dubby stuff but on some of his more recent stuff he has carved out his own niche - even if it is "jump up" (god forbid)

some of it is quite wild and unpredictable, even if some might see it as tasteless.. and he plays stuff like jakes and 16bit in his dj sets - hardly middle of the road stuff

Well it is dance music after all. It's made to make you well, kinda dance. And Rusko's stuff is good at doing that.

rusko is a don, plain and simple

as stated many many many many many many many times before, you don't like it, don't listen to it

and keep in mind that even negative publicity is publicity.

i think theyre just expressing an opinion as opposed to thinking they own a genre of music...

sorry to sound anal  but the original was by Leonard Cohen, it was later covered by Tim Buckley on his Grace album (which was huge! and is amazing...i recommend it) so why not be uber cool and boycott both and get one of those versions

Frankly I don't see what the fuss is about, I don't like any of his tunes really. Maybe Dutch Flowers rmx... but I also don't see why there are a multitude of threads trashing man either. Bygones be bygones.

Err, and it's Jeff Buckley not Tim. And he's way over rated. And he's only one of about 700 people who's covered the original. :|
