I don't know where to begin...

The Diamond Family Archive is a good start. There's some really good youtube footage of his live songs. He uses really nice guitar pedal loops and has written some of my all time favourite songs. Such as this one:

A Golden Fire http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jX9ZLJZbR_U

He's also part of a band called Blanket with Stephen Burch (The Great Park) and Vicky Steer on vocals. This is one of their best ones:

Vroom Vroom Bang Bang Bang http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0GlQaaaV96c

It's from the same show as the DFA song but I love the sound that they picked up on these recordings. Also some nice stuff on their myspace www.myspace.com/allloveisdead

Jane Bartholomew is another artist that I'm loving at the moment, she's got an amazing voice. Peep the myspace:

Laish Quartet

www.myspace.com/laishmusic in particular the song 'the love written down'. They've got a CD out at the moment and it really is fucking superb.

Have to give a shout out to Mary Hampton http://www.myspace.com/maryhampton . I hadn't heard of her until Stuart Maconie played a track of hers on last sundays freak zone called "The Bell They Gave You".It's very dark gothic folk and genuinely gives me the creeps[in a good way].I reckon I might just have to get me her album a.s.a.p. .I'd also recommend the Bob Stanley hemmed compilation "Gather in the Mushrooms" for an intro to the late 60s/early70s acid-folk underground.Listening to it again this morning for the 1st time in ages reminded me how good it sounds.
