REally weird actually not being at home for christmas this year.. since they don't do christmas in china at all you really totally forget about it. I guess all the artificially created atmosphere does make a difference, belive it or not.
Altogether I don't miss it that much, but I sure miss the amazing food..

December 25th is a Pagan holiday and i wish all the fucking tv commercials would stop talking about the birth of christ & using that as a good reason to buy diamonds & sports cars. Even if i was christian i think i would easily see thru this commercialized shite. Learn your history and be a good person every day of the year, then celebrate anything you feel like but with knowledge of what you are really celebrating!
THANK YOU

I am proud to celebrate a Pagan holiday.

I love getting together with the family and just having a nice meal.

The presents and all that hype I could do without, however.

shouldn't we be nice to people everyday? What's being nice to people for you? Give them presents just because they are going to give to you and you don't want to feel bad for not giving them?

Well I really think it's a stupid celebration...
we should be nice to people everyday, but it'll never happen.

and while it may be a stupid celebration, you get off work and school, and you get to chill with the fam.

in general its just nice, too.

whats there not to like??

Fuck Christmas!!!!!

Obligated to do shit I have no desire to do centered around religious bullshit I dont believe in.

Hang out with family you don't like, of which half are annoying alcoholics, and get into fights once everyone's had too much.

Whats not to like

Most of the people in Denmark celebrate and likes christmas because of the food, the holidays and the presents. Most of the new generation doesn't even know what it's all about and why we actually celebrate it.

I had a fucking superb day.

It's definitely a pain in the arse when you run out of milk and nowhere's open until the 27th, though. Gasping for a cuppa :(

This year was my Niece's first Xmas & that made it really special. I think that Xmas is better when there are children around just becuase they get so excited about it all... At the same time tho its a nightmare havin to buy for how ever many different family members friends etc that u only see once a year! My family do a sort of secret santa thing when u only have to buy one persons present saves ridiculous amounts of time and money! Also being a hairdresser means i work 11 days in 12 so i just dont really get into the whole vibe until its actually xmas day. :)

This was my niece's second one(she'll be 2 in March). The first one is funny because,at that age, they don't really realise what's happening, but it's like all the sudden there's all this new stuff around and lots of familiar people! It gets more fun when they can run around all excited and trying to decide what to play with first!
