Contradiction? Easy...

People who don't go to the raves and don't pay for their music saying they support the dubstep movement. But i guess that could also be said for any underground music scene.

Dj fees both on the lower and higher scales .

By the way last night was a proper dubstep party down in Barcelona with local heroes Cram and Cauto and it was really weird to not see any Chorizos around!

the juxtaposing of a double-time beat and a half-time beat riding the same time and interweaving with the bass line

and the fact that the bassline often provides with the smaller rhythmic syncopations with the drums instead of the drums leading the rhythm. they both work together.

and kode 9 is boring

lol

Skream does not think he is a genius at all, if you watch any interview with him and they ask him what its like being "the ambassider of Dubstep" or whatever you want to call it he will say that he doesn't think he is that and just see's himself as any other person. You can tell that he doesn't like being called stuff like that either as he looks pretty uncomfortable saying it or being called it.

Dunno why people keep hating on Skream, he is a genius in my eyes and all you have to do is listen to his latest Dubs to understand why.

Actually come to think of it I do find it somewhat humorous sometimes that for a genre that (while somewhat distant) takes a lot from reggae and so on, the majority of the people in the scene (DJs, producers, etc) are white mostly middle class males.

So why's he always commenting in his interviews that he's better than Aphex Twin and Beethoven, and wobble is the way forward?
