also, old school grime instro's are amazing, and the second drop on "manhattan melody" is jawdropping.
thats what i thought at first but having listened to them a few times now they've got stuck in my head in the best way possible.Schamotnik wrote:the new burial stuff is nice too, it didn't blow me away though..
i agree! kode only speaks interesting stuff. LOVED the new burial bits, loved the cooly g tune. love the fact there is a RACE going on to release the first of 6 albums this year! WHOOOP!staypuft wrote:a nice listen the whole way through. I enjoyed hearing nine's thoughts for a change, instead of a continuous mix. the upcoming hyperdub material is something fierce.
This is how I felt. Burial tunes tend to take a while to grow on me though so perhaps its just that? They didn't strike me in the same way that those unreleased tunes on the Kode 9 MAH mix did - those ones sounded different, darker... The ones on Benji B were alright but sounded a bit more-of-the-same. I suppose its a bit much asking for something new from a producer whose entire back catalogue is so unique and original, though.Schamotnik wrote:it's all about those new kode9 tunes.. love the way the direction that he has taken with his new material.. can't wait for that new album..
really felt all the tunes that he played.. the new burial stuff is nice too, it didn't blow me away though..
