thanks for the help

still unsure about what type of computer to get. i'll admit after qtip busted me out last night decided i'd just get another cheap pc laptop...maybe a desktop...to use solely for FL and vsts/samples/etc. that way it wouldn't matter a whole lot if it was cheapo since everything would go to ONLY running that program.........but damn, after reading these posts it would be cool to get a cheap g3 oer g4 ibook and try out the bootcamp thing....just to have the option of being able to run logic and reason and all that. ill have to look more into it

sucks being broke and needing a new computer when you still dont have an audio interface/monitors/decent headphones

any other suggestions? i appreciate the help.[/i]

Nah do the opposite, get a mac and fuck off FL, use logic... Ultrabeat has a very similar step sequencer, you'd only be gaining by going mac and logic.
Don't fuel this stupid argument. I've used both FL and Logic extensively, they're both powerful, and people can write some mad stuff them, so who gives a fuck? Stick with whichever works for you.

it's like 13 year olds on video game forums getting into arguments over whether the xbox 360 is way better than the ps3
it's not that I'm trying to fuel the argument, as I know it's a pointless exercise... But I'm saying, if you're going to get a mac, why would you want FL over logic when you can do everything you can on fl and more on logic?

Oh and just to exacerbate things here, the ps3 is a much more powerful machine than the 360, and has blu ray and free internet (which can access real internet sites), again it's an argument that isn't worth arguing about yet the people who can't afford (or more likely, don't put the effort into saving for) macs or ps3's love to argue about it pointlessly...
The strongest argument these people have, that I've read, is - 'Yeh but you can get 3 super-pc's for the price of a mac"...

Mac/PS3 haters are just in pure denial.

Sorry to be a cock, but my arrogance tells me I have a point here.

a daw is a daw

a synth is a synth

his question wasn't "which daw should i use" either you tards

to answer your question, no you can't run FL natively on a Mac, but with the newer Intel Macs you can use bootcamp and run it on that machine in Windows, which i have heard of people doing (specifically retarded people who buy overpriced apple hardware)

Yeh well, the point I'm making here is why not leave the windows DAW on windows, not try and use it on a mac...

Why not the best of both worlds? I dont use fruity (the name says all) but you cant seriously say one machine is better than another these days
Well, PS3 is better than 360

So yeah - keep that acer laptop and use it for the internet and keep your mac offline if you're going to put windows on it :)
LOL

honestly, if you can afford a mac, you can afford something a bitter better then FL.
