That's classic. Why is your workplace a target?
I work in the old Royal Mint across from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Its the building that was once used to make money, so thats one theory on why it might be a target. Also we have a Barclays Bank office in the same court yard as ours so thats the most probable theory.
Magma wrote:I couldn't be bothered... my casual clothes are too scruffy for a day in the office and, strangely, I like wearing a suit to work - it puts me in the right mood.
Definitely this ^

Bishopsgate...close to the Bank of England

...they are there now mate so you have no chance...NO CHANCE!!!!
UPDATE: We have officially been locked in...

Tea...CHECK, Biscuits...CHECK, Oranges...CHECK, Dubstep Forum...CHECK...ok im good to go in the event of a long night...
Going back to the crowd on bikes outside our work place, one of my colleagues is an avid bike enthusiast and was talking about an event and peaceful protest held for cyclists each month which is used to promote greener methods of transport and to claim Londons roads for a short period of time called Critical Mass' (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_Mass).
Closing her 'speech' she said 'see thats the benefits of Critical Mass' to which a colleague who just caust the last bit of the conversation popped her head up from her desk replied 'CRYSTAL METH!!! Surely there cant be any benefits from using Crystal Meth!!!

Needless to say I lol'd....

You should dress up as The Monopoly Guy for a laugh, Faust, just to see what happens.

Sirens every couple of minutes now.
I'm going for a walk in a bit to have a look around. Cancelled my meeting on Bishopsgate - looks like they've been locked in too now!! Apparently they've found out that it's on one of the lists that have been going around anarchist groups or something.
EDIT: WE'VE JUST BEEN TOLD TO WIND UP AND GO HOME!

seriously though - shutting off the cams is seriously f'd.
why is having cams with not a good enough resolution a problem? i dont get it. Legally i guess anyone caught on cam can just say it's not them? It's not an infringement of their rights is it? But leaving cams on running around the place, even if they can't legally be used as court evidence, is still a deterrant to either side wanting to pick a fight....
i really hope everyone stays safe today

Yeah, I can't believe it - it's like a second snow day. I'm trying to guage the perfect possible timing so that it doesn't look like I just went "RIGHT, I'M OFF" as soon as they announced it!
Locking people into buildings is MENTAL.
Just read on the BBC that apparently some cocks are dangling £10 notes out of windows at the protesters.... they must really want to get twatted round the head with a set of bongos.

RBS branch got stormed apparently... few people nicked some monitors and keyboards and ran away... couple of windows smashed.
Fingers crossed that's the worst of it... but I have a feeling rush hour might bring it's stories...
