i agree with this, i always think a good daw should be like a blank canvas that allows you to achieve what you want with speed and ease of use being the priority.
some daws tend to miss out at least one of these.

would the better question be if is he only using fruity // what else does he use?

do audio interfaces help in making "heavy" tunes? (technicalwise ?)

I think its interesting to know what people use as well.
I mean I got to a stage where I blamed my lack of equipment on the shit tunes I was producing, then I found out what other producers where using and I was surprised by how the modest the setups where, so I went back started looking into techniques and really working with what I got, pushin out good tunes these because of it.

By this i mean, if you use Reason for example and complain that you cant get a 'proper' sound out of it and then find out that so-and-so produced a tune solely in this program it will give you confidence that the program does have the ability of getting a professional sound and will stop you from blaming your tools for the lack of results you may be getting yourself...

good answer, i was thinking the same thing

sometimes when you hear these guys' music you think they are using equipment that you dont have...it really does help you to rethink your
equipment/software and help you to believe its possible and not magic!!!If Kromestar can use Fruity then I can too!

I used to always have this "next thing" I was gonna get. Juno-G, Dave Smith Mopho, etc., that was gonna "get my sound" for me. The truth is that when I quit mentally masturbating the idea of new gear as musical growth and started watching more tutorials on mixdown and mastering and how to really fuck up the shit I've got, I started to get my own sound. "Big" sounds come out of solid post production work and good EQ work. That's my word.
That man speaks the truth, avoid buy stuff because it sounds cool, learn what you've got well and get more once you've mastered what you've got.
