Food chain. I blame evolution. Anyway while they're dead you might as well eat them.

I for one believe (now, used to love meat) that if you choose to eat animals you should do the killing yourself, or at least be prepared to watch the slaughter...

yeah i agree with this
i stopped eating meat about a year ago, initially because i rejected how animals were slaughtered. After reading about the health benefits the burden on the environment and the economy of the meat industry, i made the decision to go without it. And after a year i can say that it was one of the most benificial decisions i've ever made in terms of my general quality of life.
Before you say it, i know 'meat's deeliiciousss' and 'OMG couldn't live without bacon' etc.. and i completely accept other people don't share my opinions. It's surprising how offended people seem to get when you challenge their dietary habits, in my experience more so than religion or politics!

I'm waiting to see pictures of Loefah dressed as Ahab on the bow of a ship harpooning a whale.

On a serious note, i hate seeing stuff like this, it's appalling what people are capable of and do.

yeah and if you buy a record you should be prepared to produce and cut it yourself. And if you wear clothes you should be prepared to tailor them yourself, and if you use pencils you should mine the lead and if you use gas you should get the gas yourself, and if you buy a computer you should build it yourself and if you walk into a building you should build the architecture yourself.
pppffff....we don't live in a subsistent economy and for good reason
