Lemme just step in and add to the confusion.

Virb was barfing on a few of the tracks. I don't know what was going on. You know Virb. Zillion successfully reuploaded the three trouble tracks and all seemed good. So it seems like he only had 20 tracks to upload.

Further, while trying to fix this issue, virb said that only 20 tracks could be uploaded total...

So if you did send your track to Zillion, and something got messed up, I don't know where he could put the track.

Does anyone know how to get more than 20 tracks up on virb?
Hey NOWAYSJ! And everyone who takes part in the DSF Comp... I may have a solution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a look at http://DUBST3P.co.uk

It's a ning i started for Dubsteppers, and it seems perfect to host the DSF Competitions.

100 !!! Tracks can be uploaded... theres apps for a poll, calender, forum, members, video etc.etc.etc...

If all the entrants are members its easy to keep intouch.

If you think this could be usefull give me a shout! Ill give either YOU or THE HOST of the competition the password to get in.

I would say send me the tracks and i will upload for you but for some reason my upload speed isnt to clever.

Let me know what you think... everyone!

Hope i can help

i tried to listen to the entries and vote but now i don't think i'm gonna bother, as it's around an hour and half worth of listening and judging

i got past track 3 and thought...17 more :o so i made some cheese on toast and coffee, with the player still running...but of course i had not idea which track was playing whilst i was in the kitchen and i didn't want to take my eyes of the grill and burn my toast...and i ain't going back through them

Why not give the organizer of each competition the privilege of choosing, say, 5 entries that then go to a public vote on DSF? i think 20 tracks is asking a bit much.

I had to skip through them also. I listened to the intro, the break, the groove and then skipped to see how they changed the 2nd half.

Well, I have now listened to all of the tracks all the way through once. Lots of good stuff. I haven't voted yet, I have it narrowed down to 5 choices. Yep 5 choices.

I don't know what's up with this one, seems like there are so many good, interesting entrants. Very impressive showing everyone.

This has come up before, and apathy won out. Suggesting change around here is likely to get you flamed.

Whatever. It is what it is at this point.

No worries bro, thanks for explaining the situation. I am stuck between voting for a couple tracks, this was my entry that didn't make it, but its all good and hope virb decides to allow me to participate on the next one :D

Hey, I know we're the headless chicken forum (or was a moderator ever actually selected? I know FSTZ was up for it, but-?)

Any chance we can have the DSF8 contest sticky removed and have this made a sticky instead?

Wow, glad to see some folks are feeling mine :)

My current top 3:

3. Love the 2 steppy beats, and the sub/808/sine-y bass. Cool programming in the breakdown too w/ the noisy/hat sound.
4. Deep one! Like the use of the drum break as a fill. The reverbed out bass is really nice as well.
19. Seems to popular and with good reason. Great sounds, programming and mix.

Still haven't voted yet :( Narrowed it down to 3 from 6, from 10. Too many good ones this time, and a lot of different styles.
