Im always disappointed when acts come to play where I live with shit sound systems.

Also I dont know if its down to bad system's or bad acoustics but the way it makes the needle jump is real annoying.

Lets face it, the acoustics arn't great for that room, and as far as speakers go. Terrible.

I don't know what rig was in the main room (I didn't go last night, even thought I was meant to for my Bday.) but yet again, the acoustics for THAT room arn't too great. Last time I was there I had to stand by the doorway to actually feel my chest rattle, or right infront of the stack. (Yet I don't want to be that fan boy uno.)

Fucking love them spinny things with the orange lights tho.

now its turned into biggest system.....

i THINK mine was when i saw caspa, dont know what brand system (maybe turbosound), but it was 16 18's and was plenty that night, rediculous bass.

and 2nd place for impressive installs has to go to Temple in SF, in the side room where dubs usually played theyve only got 4 15's, but holy crap do those things pound, like no other.

Check Iration's spring-mounted subs then you know what bass is.

Yeah, ruckspin have you ever been to one of their nights at the fav? What's the sound like down there?

Mungoes soundsystem is one of my faves. When valve is sounding good it's stupid.

i was promoting a night in oxford a couple of months ago with joker and oneman and we didn't realise how terrible the soundsystem there was. the subs shook one of the monitors off the wall it just couldn't handle it.

anyway for the next one we're getting in funktion one - it's really not that much of a hassle and well worth it so there's generally no excuse for a muddy sound.

love

usually they hire some of our Central Beatz soundsystem down at the fav, just to get a bit of extra bass in there.

15's give ya kick but unless you got a hench cab design you aint gettin enough sub from em.

like its been said if you chest aint rattling it aint happening!

this is a problem with most clubs nites. promoters and lots of dj's alike dont understand the concept of tinnitus, and as they dont have any bass they just push the mid/tops way to much

wats been really grinding my gears is this new obsession with silent raves.

1st it isnt a rave its the most commercial piece of poop ever

2nd having a room with two different dj's playing at the same time makes no sense to me as how can you really be having it if the person next to you is listening to somthing completely different

3rd you aint gettin any bass from headphones no real bass only fake substituted bass

soz for the venting session....feals better now

God Bless Bristol council...i love them:

Councillors had been told about trouble at the pub since it had become a haven for ragga music, which they were told attracted young people with aggressive attitudes.

Makes me laugh tho. There was nowt wrong with that mixer in the first place they just decided a new mixer would do miracles and somehow magic up a load of extra sound LOL
lulz, jeez. was jokes at one point i thought the needles were feeding back, turned out it was the bass from next door.
Ent naw good when you're getting moar bass from the room next door.

Its a shame really because i could have gone too subdub the night before and from now on i'll prolly end up just stickign too it as its always going to be a quality night there but other smaller nights tend to sometimes have an artist i want to see [like 16bit and bar9 on the night in question].

I guess it might just come down to doing a bit of background before going out too a night, which is a bit off a pisstake.

Did Bar9 ever turn up on sunday btw?

whenever i've done a dance soundsystem is always the first thing i sort.

IMO its one of, if not the most important thing

If your playing dubstep to people, play it how its supposed to be played..
the feeling of the bass is what makes dubstep so great, u can feel it aswell as hear it..[/i]
