Obviously it's always nice if someone says they like your tune, especially if you think they mean it, but I think most people are looking for constructive criticism, which is amazingly hard to find, especially from friends.

Useful things you can comment on about someone's tune, especially if you do production yourself:

- Programming
- Mix (especially this, as having people listen on other equipment can be very useful feedback)
- Sounds (drum sounds, synths, vocals, fx)
- Arrangement (this is something I personally suck at so I always like to hear suggestions on my arrangements ;)

Really "that's great" and "that sucks" are useless information. If you can pick out something specific it's going to be much more useful to people. Whether you subjectively like a track overall is neither here nor there, because people's tastes are so different.
thanks 8)

i don't comment because 99% of it is shit, it's also annoying having to go to someones myspace page and wait ages for everything to load up.. if a tune is actually good i'll usually send the producer a little pm saying 'well done mate, give me 320 now'

Come on, don't exaggerate...only 98% shit.
Plus many posters are now blowins that don't contribute to the communal ongoing discourse before dumping their creations upon it....the done-and-dusted commodification of ds is now a swamp.

The only reason why i find it difficult to message back people is the fact that i have no internet, i get small chances when im at college, i tried to message everyone but i obviously cannot sometimes if i am literally unable to...
