Harris also had his moment in John Zorn's free jazzy/dub/grind band Painkiller. Don't know if he was a member of the group when they made Black Hole Dub, but the track is killer. I'd definitely play it in a dubstep set even if it's not dubstep.

I love his stuff and I love it even more since he was from early Napalm Death. From Enslavement To Obliteration is one of my favourite albums.

Any grindcore fans here? Probably worth asking... :p

All about evanescence .

His latest works (since 2007) have all been solid, but do check out the earlier stuf. Never much of a grindcore fan though, always prefered the industrial route those bandmembers took like Harris (scorn) and Broadrick (godflesh).

All about the grindcore for me. Would be chosen over dubstep anyday, luckily, I can enjoy both worlds.

I believe Throbbing Gristle did the same about 15yrs before Scorn too.
And Sun Ra did it 20yrs before them 8)

Micks a champ.

got a link? ive heard a lot of Sun Ra, but never anything that sounded like dubstep. sounds wicked :e: :e:

Had a nice chat with Mick yesterday about dubstep :). His attitude toward it hasn't changed for sure.
Looking forward to this 12" though and his new EP.

no bullshit he works with the technical stuff at my college
not sure excactly what he does but i always see him round.
saw him today actually.

was quite surprised to see him working a normal job, thought he'd be minted from scorn/napalm death and all his other projects.

Working with Earache is never a good way to secure your retirement funds so to speak...
