I've seen Daft Punk do a mostly analog PA in Wisconsin in '96 at a party called Furthur, and they tore_shit_apart. There are videos of this on the net STILL circulating.

its nice to hear everyone's opinions... apart from people who are just picking on my choice of words haha :D asking for it tho i guess, was a very opiniated post.

thought what Q23 was saying about a live set that is more improvised and un sequenced sounds good.

I know what you mean.

Live sets are cool, no doubt, they have far more options and possiblities than just playing records.

The trouble is, I simply don't really want to listen to an hour of one producer, because generally a producer will have a 'sound' and what I love about DJ culture in general is that you're NOT listening to an hour of one person's tunes (like with a band), you get to hear loads of different producers and styles.

(Unless the DJ is of the "All I own is BIG TUNES" type)
