and if you were willing to spend a little more and build your own box (much cheaper than buying a pre made box) id go for this combo.

This is one of the things I want to do in my life (or just generally put together a decent set of speakers).

I havent got the slightest idea about electronics though. Looks banging though mate.

This is relevant to my interests :P
You should make a tutorial or give a shitload of links. I'm starting electronics this summer and this looks like a nice project.

Also, do yourself a favour, put it on maximum and play Haunted from dmz. Then shit your pants.

The blaster worked like a charm! Battery lasted for only 3 hours, the sub is a hog with the battery :) I'll get another one for reserve power for longer sessions, then it should be more than enough for all needs :)

What's inside the box is a 55 Ah deep cycle battery running a blaupunkt 340 watt car amp and a jvc active crossover. For sub i used peerless xxls 12" car sub (830877), mid is p.audio hp-10w and the top is celestion cdx1-1415 1" compression driver loaded in celestion horn giving 90deg horizontal and 40deg vertical dispersion.

Sub has an enclosure of 135 liters tuned to around 33-34hz. I'm going to raise the tuning frequency to around 38hz, that gives more boost to 40-50hz area and a bit higher cutoff point. That should save some power :)

Middle is in its own sealed enclosure of 14 liters, and goes from 110hz to 3khz, and the celestion driver takes care of the rest. Sounded very nice!
