STEP 1: google for "youtube converter"

STEP 2: follow instructions

STEP 3: search youtube for movie clips etc

STEP 4: download it and follow instructions on how to make it into mp3.

STEP 5: open it and edit the mp3 file with whatever software ur using

thanks for all the help everyone, i hope this thread helps others too!

i've found the easiest thing for me to do is to use sound recorder to record whatever i want. then i use a file converter to convert the file to wav and use it in recycle, and go from there! easy as pie.

this is great for extracting audio from movie clips on our computer, just select the clip, select a time range and audio format, and select a time range, great little (free) utility

i've sampled just regular music files in a couple of my tunes, and in one of my tunes in particular the sample sounds sooooooooo off...
BUT, if i increase the speed of the sample so that it matches beat, the pitch of the voice in the sample is all f*cked...

is there any way around that? sorry i'm still sorta new ><
you need a program that will do "timestretching" to get good results. logic ableton or proppellorheads 'record'

In Cubase you can go to file > import > audio file from video


It might seem like a mission to start using Cubase just for this feature, but Reason rewires into into it, so its a good platform to expand your production options too..
