actually i'm still in love with it, but the whole clownstep/neuro revival in the last 2 years have really turned me off. of the top 50 plates last year on chemical's "best of 2005" list....i own 5. that says it all.

Dnb is becoming popular, even the bad tunes sell. The enthusianism I had ~5-6 years ago is long gone, there's not much surprises in dnb anymore. I like it as a style of music, there's innovative new producers and labels around, not to forget the old classic shit from pre-millennial era but it just ain't the same thing anymore.

On the contrary i like the formation group sound, G-dub's december tune is probably my favourite dnb tune.
Has anyone ever messed around with jungle tempo? slow an old skool jungle track down a bit and you get quite cold rythms, doesnt work for every tune tho...

An interesting thing to do, you can actually get some neat results that way when it comes to modern tech / neuro.

AMIT is one of the only producers doing interesting music within the 170-180bpm range! I cant wait to hear his album coming out on commercial suicide in feb (fingers crossed)...

some of my all time d+b faves I havent seen yet on this thread are
peshay-the piano tune,
quadrant6-optical, dom/and roland,
shadow boxing- nasty habits,
the raven-ed rush,
millenium- ed rush and optical,
to shape the future- optical,
glue sniffer- klute...
I still really love drum and bass ... its not as exciting as it used to be but there have been some heavyweight tunes in the last year... I really like chase and status, viscious circle, commercial suicide just puts out soo much good stuff, hive, noisia, phace and spirit.
I gota big up my mans dem craggs and parrallel forces and phobia they are doing top quality tuneage, phobia has some bad ass tunes comming this year.. lost chapters is HEAVY! Craggz+PF's album should get some serious coverage its gonna surprise alot of people really varied.

Hahaha. As much as I'm not a fan of his dnb work, I gotta give it up for his breakstep stuff. "Disturbed" was fucking heaviness!
I'd be here forever if I listed all my favorite dnb tunes. Here's just a random few:
Remarc - "Thunderclap" <= always at the top!
Amit - "Immigrants"
Decoder - "The Fog"
Stakka/Skynet/Friction - "Altitude"
Danism - "Come to You" (NuTone Rmx)
High Contrast - "Basement Track"
Panacea - "Stormbringer"
Marcus Intalex + ST Files - "Love & Happiness"
Calibre - pretty much everything he touches...
